Fighting With My Family - thoughts & opinions.

So, being a Paige fan from before she step foot in a WWE ring, I've seen the original fighting with my family documentary and if you haven't I suggest you go watch it as it's a heartwarming, full of emotions, amazing. So I was excited when I heard Dwayne Johnson aka the rock was making this movie, I wasn't disappointed but there was bits that let me down a little.

The movie itself, is a funny film, it's definitely worth watching even if you ain't a Paige or a wrestling fan, it's a family fun film and gives a whole new side to wrestling you might not of even thought about, you will still laugh and feel all the emotions the film gives you fan or not.

The girl playing our beloved glampire Paige, Florence Pugh, definitely took Paige to her heart and brought her to life on the big screen so to say the only person who could of done it better is Paige herself, they casted paige's family really well in my opinion, the only people who could of done it better is themselves, AJ Lee was part of this film, well AJ Lee the character anyway as we all know AJ played a big part in Paige's WWE Career, as the two often had matches.

Other famous faces you will see in the movie is Vince Vaughn and Stephen Merchant, Stephen being the one who directed the movie, while The Rock Dwayne Johnson was the producer, a few other wrestlers make a little appearance during the film.

AJ Lee was played by Zelina Vega, this was a match made, this was meant to happen, if you closed your eyes she sounded just like AJ, this is what the let down was, this match they didn't have Vega or Pugh wearing any type of similar gear to watch the real AJ & Paige wore, it's not hard to recreate AJ's ring gear, so wheather this was just down to copyright or some other reason, I don't know. But it was a tiny bit of a let down as Vega as AJ Lee was fully believable, but the gear let it down, Vega herself was brilliant and played her part well, no bad comments to say on the actual performance, she did amazing and should be proud of how she portrayed AJ Lee.

The other tiny bit of a let down apart from the gear in certain bits was the remake of the matches, they added moves that weren't actually in the original match, this could of just been due to making it come across a bit more cinematic, it's not a massive problem, they might just have wanted it to come across a little bit more impressive on the screen, which I can see why.

Honestly the movie does make you laugh, makes you feel good, makes you feel sad at some points for her, makes you see if you ain't a WWE fan or ain't a Paige fan and have no idea who she is, how hard not just her but how had they all work, Paige should definitely be proud of this film and her story, make sure you go see it if you can, as it's only on selected cinemas in the UK, I've found out its the bigger cinemas that seem to have it showing, as my little hometown one isn't showing it. This might not be the case for all cinemas, but just what I experienced, so double check before you go.

I wouldn't say the film will turn you to into a fan, but it will definitely make you think twice before questioning the hard work these men and women put into the wrestling business, how hard it actually all is.

I Still suggest you go on the internet and find the original channel 4 documentary on Paige's move from the UK to NXT. Both are worth a watch.
